Discover the pleasure of exploring on an electrically-assisted mountain bike on an exciting introductory loop starting from the charming village of Béon, in the heart of the Ossau valley. The route takes you to the magnificent Pène de Béon, past the Lourziou watering hole and the Port de Castet, before returning to Béon. Thanks to the electrically-assisted mountain bikes, you'll be able to take full advantage of the surrounding scenery while pedalling with less effort on the climbs.

Let yourself be seduced by this experience, combining discovery, adventure and ease, in one of the most picturesque regions of the Pyrenees.

General Info

  • Location: Ossau valley. In general, level 1 AE mountain biking in the Aste-Beon sector.
  • May to September
  • 2 to 3 hours on the bike, 3.5 hours in total
  • Morning: 8.30 am meeting point in Laruns
  • Afternoon: usually 1.30pm in Laruns

Levels / Difficulties

MTB AE Level 1: Gentle Mountain

Level 1 is for people who know how to ride a bike, but are not mountain bike specialists.

Electrically-assisted mountain biking for beginners: a fun way to discover the Ossau valley.
15 km, 600 m. ascent.

 

MTB AE Level 2: Big mountain

Level 2 is for people who already know how to ride a mountain bike

 

Conditions

  • Be in good physical condition
  • Children aged 14 and over

Level 1: cycling skills
Level 2: know how to ride a mountain bike, including riding on narrow trails (singles)

Framing

The activity is supervised by a qualified mountain bike instructorAventure Chlorophylle, a partner of the Ossau Valley instructors' office.
Groups of 4 to 8 participants maximum per instructor.

Materials provided

  • Electrically assisted mountain bikes
  • Headset

Please prepare the list of participants with first name, height (=height in cm) and weight so that we can come to the meeting point with the appropriate equipment. This list should be sent to us either at registration or at least 48 hours before the outing.
